Education

A Hannibal native, Don Bastian attended Westminster College, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in both Accounting and Computer Science. He worked in Houston, Texas, for several years as a Certified Public Accountant before attending the University of Missouri at Columbia where he obtained a Master's Degree in Business Administration and a Juris Doctor degree.

Legal Experience

Following law school, Don Bastian returned to Hannibal to practice. He first worked with a local law firm, then he served as a Municipal Judge for the City of Hannibal, and he later served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Marion County. He is currently a sole practitioner at the firm that bears his name, handling financial and corporate matters, real estate transactions, probate and estate administration, and personal injury and liability cases.

Community Involvement

He has experience teaching business law at Hannibal-LaGrange University, and he served as president of the Northeast Missouri Economic Development Council. He has also been a board member for the Northeast Missouri Community Foundation, the Hannibal Chamber of Commerce, and the Hannibal Arts Council. Born and raised in Northeast Missouri, Don Bastian has a unique knowledge of the area and its citizens.

Donald Bastian is affiliated with the Mark Twain Title Company as owner and president. The company conducts title searches and real estate closings and provides title insurance for properties in Northeast Missouri.

Donald Bastian is also affiliated with the F&M Bank and Trust Company. He is chairman of the board, and the bank has been in existence for over 100 years.
